Invisible stories: Plymouth’s Disability History Uncovered is a potential partnership project with PADAN (Plymouth Area Disability Action Network), The Box and Plymouth University.
Disabled people, often described as ‘the largest minority’, are commonly unrepresented in museum displays and yet we know those histories must exist. We will be asking two key questions: What can we find relating to Disability History in Plymouth – both in The Box collections and in the wider community? and How can we work with this in meaningful ways for community engagement, social justice and participation?
